Pairs working pads across the gym

That worry is the single biggest thing keeping adults from walking in the door — and it's the thing we hear about least, because most people never say it out loud. So we'll say it for you: you will not be the worst person in the room, because there is no such thing here.

01Pads before anything else

You'll be holding and hitting pads from class one — no contact, no sparring, just a coach walking you through it.

02Footwork comes before power

Stance and movement first. A coach won't let you load up on a punch or kick until your feet are right.

03Gloves and gear, sorted for you

No gloves at home? No problem. Loaner gloves and pads are ready for your trial classes — nothing to buy before you decide.

Questions

Do I need experience?

No. Most adults in Combat Core have never thrown a punch or a kick before. Coaches teach to the newest person, every class.

Will I have to spar?

Not to start, and not in Combat Core at all. Sparring exists for students who choose it later, in CAP.

What's the difference between Combat Core and CAP?

Combat Core is beginner-friendly, one hour, no contact required. CAP is the advanced track — 90 minutes, sparring built in, blending striking with grappling and MMA. Everyone starts in Combat Core.

What do I wear, and do I need gloves?

Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt. No shoes on the mats. We have loaner gloves and pads for your trial classes, so there's nothing to buy up front.
