One coach · your goals · any programme

Private Lessons

One coach, one student, one hour built entirely around what you are trying to do. Every private is quoted on its own, because no two people ask for the same thing.

How a private works

  • You pick the art. Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, MMA — or a mix, if that is what the goal needs.
  • You pick the coach. Every instructor on the coaches page teaches privates. If you are not sure who fits, say what you want and we will suggest one.
  • You set the goal. A competition camp, a plateau you cannot get past, a first class without an audience, a kid who does better one-to-one, or self-defence you want to actually be able to use.
  • We quote it. Rate depends on the coach, how often you want to train and whether anyone is training with you. That is why there is no price on this page and no booking button — tell us what you are after and we will come back with a number.

Who books them

People who want to move faster

An hour of undivided coaching moves a technique further than a month of picking it up in the corner of a group class.

People who are nervous about class

Some people would rather learn the basics before walking into a room full of strangers. That is a completely normal way to start, and it works.

Kids who do better one-to-one

Privates are often used for kids — a child who needs more attention than a group allows, or one getting ready to grade or compete.

Competitors with a date

A camp built backwards from your fight or tournament, with the rounds and the game plan that match your opponent.

Tell us what you are after

Send the art, the goal, roughly how often you would like to train, and a coach if you have one in mind. We reply by email with a quote, usually the same day.
